2019 - 2020 Math 6 Plus Scope and Sequence-Click to see a basic outline/timetable of the topics we will cover this year. PLEASE REMEMBER that this is a general outline only. Some units may take longer (or shorter) to complete depending on the needs of my students. Thank you.
Each day follows a similar routine. See the calendar below for specifics about each day. 1: Warm Up Activity- discussion, game, or paper/pencil while homework/missing work is checked in. 2: Go over homework- only 1-2 questions will be reviewed. Students can come back during RampUp or at lunch as needed to review more. 3: Activities- usually 2 or 3 completed. Examples, explorations (individually or in groups), discussions, etc. 4: Introduce/get started on that night's homework- almost all homework will be practice problems from the workbook, but occasionally there will be a separate handout as homework.
***** Please DO NOT print this calendar. I plan lessons based on the suggested/anticipated time frame and I may have to adjust lessons to add or reduce the number of days spent on a topic based on the needs of the class. I will always do what is best for my students, even if it means slightly straying from the pacing guide set forth in the scope and sequence chart. :)
